Mt. Hood Brewing Co. is coming soon to Portland!

Construction is actively under way at Mt. Hood Brewing’s new restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Located on the east end of Tilikum Crossing across from the Oregon Rail Heritage Center and near OMSI, Mt. Hood Brewing Co. Tilikum Station is slated to open in early summer 2018. Mt. Hood Brewing Co. Tilikum Station is moving into a former TriMet transfer station that has been repurposed into suites, two of which will house Mt. Hood Brewing. The interior is being renovated to accommodate a wood-fire pizza oven and small kitchen, plus an intimate dining area. More seating will be available in a refurbished train car and caboose stationed outside the restaurant for a total of 60 seats.

Mt. Hood Brewing Co. in Government Camp opened in 1991 and has been making small batches of craft ales ever since. Mt. Hood is the ideal location for the brewery because of unlimited access to pure, glacial water. Many brewers agree that water is the most important ingredient in a good beer. Our incredible water combined with premium barley and NW hops and yeast make Mt. Hood Brewing Co. beers stand out.

The Tilikum Station outpost will feature six Mt. Hood Brewing Co. taps and seasonal selections available by the bottle or can. Mt. Hood Brewing Co. Head Brewer Bryan Borgmeier is busy developing a signature beer for the Tilikum Station location, one that goes well with wood-fired pizza. A limited selection of Oregon wines and cocktails will also be available.

The menu is being developed by Timberline Lodge Executive Chef Jason Stoller Smith and protégé, Chris Flanagan. The two chefs worked together for nearly ten years at a well-known Dundee, Oregon, wine country restaurant when Flanagan was fresh out of culinary school. Flanagan took over as head chef at that restaurant when Stoller Smith became Executive Chef at Timberline Lodge in 2010. Eight years later, they have reunited to pair authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza with Mt. Hood Brewing Co.’s ales at Tilikum Station.

Both Mt. Hood Brewing Co. and Timberline Lodge are owned by RLK and Co., making this a partnership that is excited to bring Mt. Hood to Portland.
